There are some things that all guitarists have to learn.
Even Jimi Hendrix couldn't have gotten along without these!
The Song "Hey Joe" uses C,G, A, D, and E in the following pattern.

C G D A E E E E With these chords
Play as much as you can. If your fingers get sore stop and carry on when ready again. As long as you play on a regular basis they will harden up in no time as the finger tips build up callouses.
Take things in small steps and slow down if your fingers are difficult to control. There is no predefined order for learning and listening critically to your own playing can show you what areas you need to work on.
There are lots of teaching aids which are excellent in conjuction with a good teacher, who will stop you getting into bad habits and give you direction. Try looking on YouTube for instance, or doing a Google search.
Remember all music is Rhythm, Melody, or Harmony. Practice all of these and learn to express your emotions musically. Keep practicing and you will develop your own unique style.
